You will need to continue to brush and floss on every day to make sure that your teeth remain healthy. A good dental regimen needs to be supported by regular visits to your dentist for routine cleanings and exams. Composites can be discolored by tobacco, and dark-colored foods and drinks. Your composite filling will last five years or more with proper care.
